Lost Without You

I awake from a dream, barely remembered,

knowing that I am alone....

and it doesn't matter who is beside me.

I am so lost without you.......

my heart cries out in the night,

and a few tears trickle down my face.

I quickly wipe them away....

taking with them the memory of pain,

they have no place in my life.

I shouldn't feel this way about you,

but I can't seem to let you go.....

you haunt my dreams.

I lie awake until the alarm goes off,

I sit up and begin my day knowing.....

I am so lost without you.

Sometimes methinks you are inside my head.

Maybe I am......;P

Actually this is something I have been going thru myself. But if it touches others...then that's even better.
And I appreciate your honesty. And I am glad you found it so meaningful!

Wrenching loss. The hole in the air. Beautiful and appallingly sad.

This was another poem I read before, but was unable to comment.

It's hard to believe that it has been almost 8 years... but I still remember him... I still crave his touch...

Oh my friend, you hit the nail in the head again! Bravo!
